EMSA’s pilot project on Facilitation of ship to shore reporting connects to STM

EMSA’s pilot project on Facilitation of ship to shore reporting connects to STM

Published: September 04, 2020

The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) leads a Facilitation of ship to shore reporting project, which aims at developing and testing solutions to facilitate the reporting procedures from ship to shore and improve the coastal stations’ situation awareness. Following request from participating in the project Member States, EMSA is going to connect to the Sea Traffic Management (STM) Voyage Information Service (VIS) in order to integrate voyage plans provided by vessels in the maritime picture EMSA offers to the Member States authorities.
The connection will be established via the Navelink platform, as it is done for all STM-compatible services.
