STM Midterm Conference – Inspiration and Participation
Over 200 participants joined STM to view the latest developments and demos. How do you summarise 24 busy hours, full of networking, demos, presentations, discussions and inspiration? We let the participants speak for themselves in a video!
STM is well in line with EU priorities and future developments, as confirmed by presentations from the Motorways of the Sea Co-ordinator Brian Simpson and Policy Advisor Jukka Savo. And STM is resonating globally as the Deputy Director General of the Marine Department of Malaysia, Rossid bin Musa, exemplified by sharing his country’s national plans for STM.
Keynote speaker Kate D Adamson helped us see a future vibrant with possibilities, while Norbert Kouwenhoven made blockchain more concrete. The midterm audience presented questions for three panels and also contributed via smaller breakout discussions, as well as during the generous breaks where several stands demonstrating STM solutions and work were focal points of interest and expertise. The inauguration of the Italian maritime e-administration and the STM ship test bed were additional highlights during these busy 24 hours in Monastier di Treviso in Italy.
All presentations from the conference are available here.
Please mark your calendars for the busy 24-hour STM Validation final conference. November 13-14 2018 at the IMO headquarters in London!
